Eloquest Healthcare™ History
Eloquest Healthcare™, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ferndale Pharma Group. To get an accurate sense of the beginnings of Eloquest Healthcare™, we must first look at the history of the parent company.
Ferndale Laboratories, Inc, founded in 1897 as the J.F. Hartz Company, which originally served the medical profession by providing surgical instruments as well as various medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceutical products. As a forerunner in "home health care," the storefront of this multi-storied, brick building (originally located in downtown Detroit) served the public as a retail source of vitamins, tonics, elixirs, and surgical instruments.
In October of 1950, the J.F. Hartz Company moved to its present location in Ferndale, Michigan. The move was the beginning of a new focus of concentration, which would contribute to the rise of a very successful and innovative company. The company was focused on serving Michigan physicians and hospitals. A few years later the company changed its name to Ferndale Laboratories, Inc.
One of the most important decisions in determining the destiny of Ferndale Laboratories was made in 1975 when Ferndale Laboratories embarked on a mission to grow from a local pharmaceutical manufacturer to a company with national recognition. In 2004, Ferndale Laboratories reorganized to form the Ferndale Pharma Group, the holding company for a number of healthcare specialty companies. Ferndale Pharma Group is proud to work with renowned medical and pharmaceutical professionals that are committed to bringing unique, value-added therapies that help, heal, protect and beautify the skin.
